FIFA10 for iPhone

It sure is not as good and surprising as its counterpart on windows or the consoles, but it definitely has a lot potential. Controls are quite rough, but after some games you will get the flow. The price is too high in my opinion (8 €), but you get soo many leagues and players and all the options.

Pros

  • Good gameplay
  • All the original names and teams
  • Multiple gamemodes
  • Multiplayer!
Cons
  • Graphics are at best OK, but you see what's happening
  • The stadiums are not real, so it looks strange when you play with big clubs in very small playes
  • The AI is stupid, nearly all the time. Sometimes they run to their goal...
  • Price is too high. It's an iPhone game for short sessions.

Uncharted 2

It's very, very good. It's easily one of the best games on the system, blending fantastic presentation and visuals with gameplay that is practically second to none. And then there's the stellar multiplayer which you'll probably be playing until Uncharted 3 ships.

PC games and the required hardware

It's so ridiculous what modern PC games request from the hardware. OK, I have a notebook, but I thought with an 2,6GHz Core Duo, 3GB RAM and a 256MB Geforce 8 a new game would look quite well.

I ordered Need for Speed: Shift for PS3 last week and I hope it arrives on monday. But when I saw the PC demo yesterday I wanted to check it out and installed it. This morning I tried to play it and it was so slow... it automaticly put the resolution to 1920 and nearly all the other switches to HIGH!? I mean WTF... why isn't it possible for them to program a working routine, which detects the hardware and adjusts everything to run as smooth as a racing game has to run. NOPE, FAIL, whatever... I changed the resolution and all the details and had to RESTART for every change... another big WTF... after 5 times of restarting the game it ran OK but looked really shity. I can remember playing GTR2 (same developer) in high resolution with all effects on HIGH on my ThinkPad...

So I'm relly looking forward to get my PS3 copy of the game.

PC gaming is dead!

Borderlands Gameplay Videos

Auf dem Fantasy Filmfest lief ja fast vor jedem Film (wenn's ne DVD-Vorführung war nicht) dieser grauenhafte Borderlands-Trailer. Nach jedem Mal schauen wollte ich zu den Entwicklern nach Hause und denen so richtig die Fres*"§ Meinung sagen. ABER: Erst hab ich gelesen, dass das Spiel von Gearbox ist und heute hab ich den Artikel hier im Reader gehabt, wo man doch schon Lust auf mehr bekommt.
